In this Open Data Lab we are running a “build a data visualization” competition!

Participants should bring along a laptop (it is ok to share with somebody else) with the tool of your choice installed (Excel, Power BI, SAS, R, Cognos, pen & paper!) and we will provide a data set and rules.

The participants will spend an hour and a half building a visualization (dashboard, infographic whatever is appropriate) and then we will dissect each one as a group as a learning experience. NO prior knowledge is required for this lab so come along and enjoy!

Multi-lab subscription options are also available (please contact us for more details).

Some topics are fixed (e.g. the third Wednesday in every month is a Power BI lab) and the other sessions will be announced typically with 2 weeks notice.

We aim to run a minimum of 3 labs per month
